Senai Wolde-AB Andemariam, University of Asmara, Eritrea
Mr. Andemariam, an Eritrean national, is currently a lecturer of law at the University of Asmara, Eritrea. He is also a consultant and has undertaken consultancy projects for both the government and private firms. A Fulbright Scholar and a former judge at the Ministry of Justice of the State of Eritrea, he teaches and conducts research in international trade law with a particular focus on how WTO rules benefit developing countries, on international business transactions, on maritime and aviation law.
He has published a number of articles including: “The Status of WTO Non-members: A Review in Light of the Proposed Amendment to the TRIPS Agreement of 6 December 2005″, Journal of Intellectual Property Law and Practice, Vol. 3, No. 2: 2007, “Can (Should) Article XX(b) be a Defense to Inconsistencies with the SPS/TBT Agreements?”, Journal of World Investment and Trade, vol. 7 No. 4: August 2006; and “Does the Montreal Convention of 1999 Require that a Notice be Given to Passengers on the Applicability of Notice? What is the Validity of Notice of a Choice of Forum Clause under Montreal 1999?” Journal of Air Law and Commerce, vol. 71, No. 2: Spring 2006.
Mr. Andemariam holds a law degree from the University of Asmara and a Master of Laws (LL.M) degree in International Legal Studies from Georgetown University Law Center.
