Susan Isiko Štrba, Graduate School of International and Development Studies, Geneva
Ms. Štrba, a Ugandan national, is PhD Candidate at Graduate School of International and Development Studies in Geneva, Switzerland. She has research interests in international trade and Intellectual Property as well as in international human rights and international humanitarian law. Her PhD thesis is on “International Law Perspectives on Intellectual Property, Health and Education: the case of developing countries”. Previously, Ms Isiko worked as a legal officer for the WHO Intergovernmental Negotiating Body on the Framework Convention on Tobacco Control and as a consultant at the International Labour Organization (ILO). Before coming to Geneva, she practiced law at the law firms of Ochien’g Oduol and Co Advocates in Kenya and Bakibinga & Co Advocates in Uganda. Her most recent work includes Dispute Settlement under the TRIPS Agreement in Relation to Human Rights: on the issue of balance”, Graduate Institute of International Studies, Geneva.
Ms. Štrba holds a Masters in International Relations (Specialization in International Law with minors in International Economics and Political science) from the Graduate Institute of International Studies, Geneva, Switzerland.
