Dr. Zolomphi Nkowani, University of Central Lancashire, UK
Dr. Nkowani, a Malawian national, is a Lecturer in Law at the University of Central Lancashire in the UK. He is also a trustee of number of charitable organisations in the Northwest of England (UK) and an editor at the Malawi Law Journal, a peer reviewed law journal published in South Africa. Dr. Nkowani is also a member of a number of professional associations including: Fellow of the Royal Society for the Advancement of the Arts (FRSA) (UK), 2006; The Malawi Law Society (since 1996); and The International Bar Association (since 2007). Before joining the Lancashire Law School in 2007, he had held academic and research posts at the Universities of Liverpool, Manchester and University of Salford. He holds law degrees from the universities of Malawi (LL.B, (Hons), Warwick (LL.M (IEL)) and Salford (Ph.D) in the UK. He has also undertaken professional training with the Chartered Institute of Secretaries and administrators (ICSA) (UK) and The Hague Academy of International Law (The Hague).
Dr. Nkowani’s research interests are in: International Trade and Regional Integration, in the SADC Region; Telecommunication, Competition and Broadcasting Regulation; International trade and Occupational Health and Safety Regulation; Market and Financial Regulation in Emerging Economies; and Intellectual Property and the Provision of Healthcare in Developing Countries. He has published widely in these areas.
