Peter G. Munyi, International Centre for Insect Physiology and Ecology (ICIPE), Nairobi
Mr. Munyi is the Chief Legal Officer at ICIPE (http://www.icipe.org), an intergovernmental scientific organisation based in Nairobi, Kenya. In this position, he provides in-house legal advice to ICIPE in many areas. His research speciality is in intellectual property law and policy. He also consults for, and offers legal and policy advice on genetic resources, environment, forestry and biodiversity issues to the governments of developing countries, UN agencies and other international organizations as well as non-governmental organizations. He has published on many of these issues. Mr. Munyi holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from Moi University and a Master of Laws (LL.M) in European Intellectual Property Law from Stockholm University.
