Dr. Yenkong Ngangjoh Hodu, Nordic Africa Institute, Sweden
Dr. Hodu, a Cameroonian national, is the coordinator of the Programme on Global Trade at the Nordic Africa Institute in Uppsala, Sweden. He is also a visiting faculty member at a number of universities in Europe and Africa as well as a number of Chinese academic institutions, including Wuhan University Law School, Fudan University Law School and the University of Peking. Dr. Hodu, who is a barrister at law is also a member of the Editorial Board of the Manchester Journal of International Economic Law and the European Law and Economics Association. Before joining the Nordic Africa Institute he was a part-time lecturer and senior researcher in International Economic Law at the University of Helsinki. He holds a PhD in International Trade Law from the University of Helsinki.
His areas of interests include the law and economics of the world trading system, international development law, the development aspects of regional integration, SINO- Africa trade and African trade relations with the EU, the US and the emerging economies. He has provided advisory services on Economic partnership agreements (EPA) negotiations and in the context of the WTO Doha development Agenda to some African countries and regional economic organisations. He is widely published on trade-development issues.
