Robinson, a Kenyan national, is a lawyer by profession and a policy analyst. He specializes in international trade law and intellectual property law and their influences on economic development policies for developing countries.
Robinson has worked for several years with a number of international NGOs and UN agencies in African countries such as Somalia, Sudan, Kenya and Malawi. He has also conducted policy research and provided consultancy services to various organizations on development and project management in Africa. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of Nairobi, Kenya and Master of Laws (LLM) degree with specialization in intellectual property law from Lund University in Sweden.
In addition to his policy research and consultancy work, Robinson is also pursuing a PhD degree at the Faculty of Law, University of Geneva. His thesis investigates the ecology of technology transfer systems between developed country and developing country public and private institutions, including the influence of governments in systems of transfer. He also has interests in competition law, especially in technology transfer agreements. Robinson is currently based in Geneva, Switzerland.
